Some say plants are the new pets! Well, I would never give up our dog Lucy for a plant but... I do love plants inside our home!
A splash of healthy greenery in any room can make it instantly feel welcoming and fresh. Another benefit, indoor plants naturally purify the air and in turn create a healthier living place. A win, win!
There are so many great indoor plants to choose from! To help you choose the right plant for your indoor or outdoor space, be sure to visit your local Nursery and Garden Centers. In central Iowa, be sure to visit Harvey's Greenhouse in Adel, Iowa. They have a wonderful selection of unique plants and knowledgeable staff!
Here are a few of my favorites to use to enhance the look and feel of any space.
FOXTAIL ASPARAGUS FERN
If you like artsy plants with a sculptural feel, then this one is for you! I love these plants indoor and outdoor on the patio.
JADE PLANTS
These plants are a great succulent houseplant that are fairly resilient and easy to grow indoors. They add an interesting look to any pot!
LACE ALOE
This plant is a hardy succulent with beautiful, distinct leaves. How can you not enjoy looking at it?
PADDLE PLANT
Another succulent that adds so much interest to any pot with its unique shape and beautiful colored leaves.
HENS AND CHICKS
Another favorite of mine that you can grow inside or outside. They are such a beautiful succulent that offer such pretty colors to any space.
PONY TAIL PALM
This is a larger plant that adds such a great modern, airy look to any space. And as it grows the base of the plant is so unique looking.
CHINESE MONEY PLANT
No money on this plant, but it has such a distinctive look with its round coin-like leaves and straight stems. They look gorgeous in short pots.
